major project idea

  • What is the topic of your project?
  • Who will you interview?
  • What will you take photos of?
  • What information will you research?

  • What type of project will you make?
  • What service will you use? (Animoto, Infogram, Prezi, etc.)

Why is this the best service to make your final multimedia project?

When and where will you record and capture this content?

When will you transfer your images, audio, text to your computer?

What was the best ISO setting to use for your portraits?

The best ISO for my portraits was ISO 100

What was your next best photo?
My best photo was ISO 100 because i liked how clear the picture looked
Were you able to create equivalent exposures to your best photo by changing the aperture and shutter speed?
I was able to create equivalent exposures by changing the aperture and
What did you learn from this activity that you will apply to your real portrait shoot?

i learned that you need to know how to set up the camera and change some things around to get a good shoot.

Semester Final Exam Part 2 and 3

Part 2
Bonfire celebration
London, november 1999, Soldier Franco Landaverde, is watching over
the celebration when suddenly the fire starts right next to him and his horse.
No one knew how the fire got to him but he was in danger.
As a smart and brave soldier he knew how to control the situation
and he was able to get out of the fire safely.

Monk protest
In this picture Kanji is running on fire, in china, February18, 2005.
He turned himself on fire because he was protesting for his believes.
He was really brave, he was determined to make his
believes be respected by this dangerous act.

Gunman killed
In july 2012,  John Steven's was shoot while he was in
the car driving around San Francisco.
He died instantly after getting shoot not once but three times in the head.
He was a horrible person himself and he had killed others
with the gun he carried with him.
Part 3

Simplicity
The potograph is very simple its just a girl standing in the
middle of a beautiful green path there is nothing that makes it
distracting or hard to look at.  It represents simplicity very well.

Background
The potographer did a good job on capturing this picture.
the background could of been very distracting but he was
able to make the girl the first thing you saw when you
looked at the picture.

Rule of thrids
I choose rule of thirds because there is nothing in the middle
and all the attention is drawn to her even tho there are
 other things to look at.

Viewpoint
The photographer was able to set the image and make
it look like if obama was holding the light in the
background by the way that he set the angle of the picture.
He also had great timing to when obama moved his
arms in that way to capture the picture.

Self Portrait

Bring Something to Focus On

Lighting, a single flash can do wonders for your portraits.

Get Closer
The most common mistake made by photographers is that they are not physically close enough to their subjects.

Casual portrait
I chose this picture because it looks really casual to me.
It looks like a normal day in the park.

The Three Pillars of Exposure

F2.8

1. What part of the body should we closely relate aperture?  To the eyes, the cornea in the eyes

2. Finish this sentence - the smaller the Aperture the larger the f-stop, the higher the Aperture the smaller the f-stop.

3. In your own words tell me how aperture impacts Depth of Field?
A small aperture will make the object of the picture more focused and a large aperture will make the object really focused and the back ground really blurry.

 1. What are the advantages of shooting with a higher ISO setting at a sporting event like a night football game?
it will allow you to shoot at a higher shutter speed
and will let you get a perfect shoot.

2. What suggestions did the author make about using a low ISO?
you should always try to stick to the base ISO to get the highest image quality

3. What suggestions did the author make about using a high ISO?
to use it when there is not enough light so it can freeze the motion

  • F4      (its closer and the background is blurry)
  • F5.6   (its dark and the background is a little blurry)
  • F8      (darker, the background is more noticeable in focus)
  • F11    (super dark and hard to see background)
  • F16    (too dark can hardly see the picture background is not as blurry)
  • F22    (too dark you can't see anything )

  • The best one to me would be F8.

    Rules of Photography Part 2

    View Point
This photo shows the amazing view of the back grown.

     Symmetry and Patterns
This photo shows symmetry and patterns
by showing you different focal points.

Framing it has a frame around the picture and it
makes it wanting to look at.

    Depth
they created a kind of design to the background to
make look like she is all the way in the front.
    rule of thirds
the 3 people make the picture get equally balanced
    Background
the background of this picture does not take
the attention away from the main subjects.
    Cropping
This picture shows the cropping of the back ground
by the color fading in to a lighter color to the middle
    where the main thing is.

    leading lines
my eyes can clearly see the lines of the legs
by the color and the placement of them.
